Star Wars: The Force Unleased

We all should know of the highly-anticipated Star Wars game being released this tuesday. It is about an apprentice that Darth Vader meets on Kashyyyk while having a war with the wookies.

This game BETTER be good. The apprentices name is Starkiller. For all who know about Star Wars and it's history, you should know where the name came from. If you're not, I'll explain.

Originally, Luke Skywalker was supposed to be named Annikin Starkiller and Darth Vader was supposed to be named Prince Valient.

So being called Starkiller (the lamest name to give a cool character) was handed out.

I don't know what the game is mainly about because I want to block myself from ANY spoiler. But I did watch Starkiller use the force to bring down an ENTIRE Empire dropship, so I'm assuming he'll turn against Darth Vader in one of the scenarios.

This game may knock Lego Star Wars and Star Wars: Battlefront off of it's throne.

Actually, it wasn't an Empire dropship, it was a star destroyer, AKA, one of the Empire's biggest ships. Anyway, the only things you need to know before playing is 1) Starkiller is Vader's secret apprentice, 2) Starkiller is mostly hunting down Jedi that survived Order 66 and 3) since Starkiller is a secret apprentice, Vader doesn't even want the Emperor to know of him.

Also noteworthy and not directly related to Starkiller's story is that there are multiple characters in the extended Star Wars universe that hunt down survivors of Order 66. This has become known as both the Great Jedi Hunt and the Second Great Jedi Purge.

EDIT: Starkiller also appeared in Soul Calibur IV and is easily one of the most fun characters in the game.

For some reason I have a sinking feeling this will be a lackluster video game. Though, the only Star Wars games I can really stomach are Rogue Squadron, Pod Racer, and KOTOR.

Battlefront and Lego Star Wars were VERY good to me. In fact, The Battlefront Demo is what got me interesting in Star Wars.

This game WILL be groundbreaking. It's so ALTERNATIVE!
