I believe the reason many FF fans didn't like FFX was due to the storyline - it focused around the development of one character, in favor of the others. In the original FF games (before VII), they whole team of characters had equal importance to the storyline, and even in the PSX games they each had an abundance of back story and close importance between the characters.
Other than that though, I quite liked the game, and would be glad to replay it if I had a computer good enough to emulate it or a TV that would let me set up a PS2 on it (a problem with HDTV's, IMO - the new models should have HDTV compatibility... they may do, actually, but I wouldn't know, having a PS2 since release).

I'm sorry, but FFX was the only story I actually liked out of all the Final Fantasies I've played...and sorry Dale, but I don't think it just focused on Tidus. It dove a bit into everyone's pasts and different sections of the game were significant to different characters

I bought FFX within a week of its release.This game brings back alot of great memories, the story and characters are amazing so I love this Game very much.
