What to do about "Spam Section" - Page 2

That's good, but wasn't he multi-IP-ing last time anyway? I'm sure he had like 3 bans. Anyway, good catch there, that's why you're in charge xD

EDIT:- Suggestion here, can we add an XD smilie ?! I really would use it enough to make it worth the effort of adding it.

Ah you guys had a problem with multiple ips with a banned memeber too eh. I feel your pain lads, same happend on our forums. Guys given up now luckily.

and a spam section is like practically nesserary to a large forum isnt it?

I don't mind if there is a spam section, but there definitely needs to be a few rules when it comes to what is and isn't allowed. The rules for the rest of the forum should still apply to the spam section. I don't want to be inundated with emails and PM's from you guys complaining about stuff that goes on in there if you all agreed that this is to be a "lawless" zone.

I'd say make it controlled by user rules but make sure there are enough moderators just for the spam section to make sure the users follow their own rules.

The only way I think we can really enforce any rules withing the spam section is to have them posted somewhere so that everyone who uses it can read them. If they are officially written down, then we staff have something to go by when it comes to moderating it. Likewise, the users can't pull that stupid "oh, I didn't know" line that I've heard way too many times.
